Board Source has a goal of “building effective nonprofit boards,”
and their site offers feature articles on many board development topics
such as the board’s role in executive director succession and
evaluation. The site also offers a well-designed “Essentials”
section with many FAQ’s that answer many aspects of board and
nonprofit governance. A board glossary helps new board members navigate
the verbal terrain.

This site acts as a clearinghouse for individuals seeking nonprofit
board service and nonprofits who are looking for board members. The
site operates in conjunction with monster.com and has listed 10,000
board candidates in 47 states.
